Diabetes Mellitus is a disorder of carbohydrate, protein and fat metabolism due to an imbalance between insulin availability and insulin requirements. Management that is not effective in dealing with DM disease consists of acute and even chronic complications. Diabetic foot gymnastics is also used as a leg exercise. Exercises or movements performed by the two legs alternately or simultaneously are useful for strengthening or flexing the muscles in the lower leg area, especially in the ankles and toes. This case study aims to increase muscle strength and improve blood circulation in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus patients after giving foot exercise therapy. This research is descriptive with a case study approach, namely patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus who are treated in the Aqsa 3 room at the General Hospital dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh. In this study, researchers used interviews, observations, questionnaires (questionnaires) and documentation. The results showed that subject I was more dominant in experiencing an increase in muscle strength and smooth blood circulation in the legs after the application of foot exercise therapy until day 6. because the subject rarely did foot exercise therapy after being taught. It is also very supportive of increasing muscle strength and smooth blood circulation in patients with Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 to prevent the risk of pressure sores.
