PENERAPAN KOMUNIKASI EFEKTIF ORANG TUA TERHADAP PERILAKU MEROKOK REMAJA DI DESA MIREUK TAMAN KECAMATAN DARUSSALAM ACEH BESAR

Abstract

Communication is the process of delivering information carried out by two people or better orally or in writing in which there is a message or meaning to be conveyed. Adolescent smoking behavior is an activity of smoking cigarettes and exhaling cigarette smoke. The purpose of this study was to describe the application of effective communication between parents on smoking behavior in adolescents. The research was conducted in Mireuk Taman Village, Darussalam District, Aceh Besar Regency on April 2 to 7 2018. This type of research is descriptive with 2 subjects. Data collection was carried out by means of observation and direct interviews with the two subjects. The results showed a reduction in the frequency of smoking in adolescents as a measure of success in this study so that it was known that there was a difference in the results of the two subjects in behavior change, namely in subject I there was no change in behavior. After implementing effective communication and in subject II, there was a change in behavior because subject II had reduced the frequency of smoking after applying it for 6 consecutive days even though only 1 cigarette. So that this research can be used for the application of effective communication within the family.
