Fracture is a break in the continuity of bone and cartilage which is generally caused by forced force so that it can cause pain. Pain is an unpleasant emotional and subjective sensory acquired in relation to actual or potential tissue damage, or describes the conditions in which the damage occurred. A cold compress is a technique of stimulating the skin to relieve pain. The purpose of this case study is to describe nursing care by performing cold compresses in minimizing or relieving pain in fracture patients. This type of research is descriptive using the case study method. The subjects in this study were two fracture patients at dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh. The results of the study were that pain was reduced in both subjects from day 1 to day 6. Thus the application of cold compresses can be one way to reduce pain in fracture patients.
