PENERAPAN INHALASI SEDERHANA DALAM BERSIHAN JALAN NAPAS PADA KELUARGA DENGAN MASALAH INFEKSI SALURAN PERNAPASAN AKUT

Abstract

Acute respiratory infection (ARI) is one of the many diseases that infect both developed and developing countries. One way to treat ARI is by simple inhalation which is a simple application that is useful for diluting secretions. This study aims to describe the application of simple inhalation in airway clearance in families with ARI problems. This type of research is descriptive, with data collection techniques in the form of observation, participation and direct communication. Data collection was carried out from 5 to 10 April 2018 with 2 respondents. The results showed that the application of simple inhalation in cleaning the airway was effectively carried out by the two subjects. The above statement was proven by the ease with which the two subjects issued secretions after applying simple inhalation. It is hoped that Simple Inhalation can be applied as a non-pharmacological therapy to dilute secretions in ARI patients, but to get optimal results, it is necessary to pay attention to age, experience, and how long the subject has been exposed to ARI and this is very useful for society and can be done by families independently.
