Abstract

Hypertension is an abnormal increase in blood pressure in the arteries continuously for more than one period. Uncontrolled high blood pressure can cause complications that can attack the brain, eyes, arteries and kidneys. Application of boiled garlic water is one intervention in lowering blood pressure. This research is descriptive in nature with a case study design using interview and observation methods before and after therapy is given. The respondents in this study were 2 hypertensive patients with the criteria of patients being willing to respond and being cooperative, clients with hypertension problems with systolic pressures of 140-159 and 160-169 mmHg and diastolic pressures of 90-99 and 100-109 mmHg (grade 1 & grade hypertension). 2), Clients aged 45-56 years, Homogeneous Clients. Before this intervention was carried out, subject I was 140/90 mmHg and subject II was 155/100 mmHg. Blood pressure after intervention was given to subject I, namely 130/80 mmHg and subject II 142/90 mmHg. This research proves that the application of boiled garlic water is effective in lowering blood pressure in hypertensive patients. It is hoped that this research can be used as an intervention to reduce blood pressure in hypertensive patients
