Abstract

Pulmonary tuberculosis is a disease of tuberculosis or what is often called pulmonary TB is an infectious infection caused by the bacteria Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Patients with pulmonary tuberculosis usually have low health knowledge. One of the measures to overcome knowledge is health education. The purpose of this study was to describe nursing care with the application of health education to patients suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis. This research is a descriptive study using a case study approach, with the subject of two pulmonary tuberculosis patients. This research was conducted from 02 to 08 April 2018. Researchers used the pretest and posttest questionnaire sheets to see the patient's knowledge before and after health education. This research was conducted for 6 days, the first day was given a pretest, the second to the fourth day was given a health clinic and the last day was given a posttest. The results obtained in subject I increased knowledge about pulmonary tuberculosis compared to subject II, there was a slight increase due to being older so that a person's memory decreased.
