Abstract

Menstruation or menstruation is bleedng in the uterus that occurs cyclically and is experienced by most women of productive age. The length of the menstrual cycle ussualy lasts between 24 days to 35 days with an average of 28 days. Menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) can have an impact on activities or activities of women, especially teenagers. application lavender aromatherapy is one intervention to reduce in reducing menstrual pain in adolescent girls who experience menstruation. The aim of this research is to describe nursing care applying lavender aromatherapy in reducing menstrual pain in adolescent girls who experience menstruation. This research design is descriptive using a case study approach. Data collection techniques used were interveiews, observation, physical examination and applying lavender aromatherapy. The respondents in this study were two subjects teenagers who  menstrual pain in adolescent who experience menstruation, while subject I aged 20 years had experienced menstrual pain for the last 6 months, and subjects II 21 years has had experienced menstrual pain for the last 1 year. The results of the study showed a decrease in the menstrual pain before the intervention namely pain 4 and subjects II before the intervention namely pain 5. Menstrual Pain of after intervention two of subjects in reducing  pain 1. This research proves that the application of applying lavender aromatherapy in reducing menstrual pain in adolescent girls who experience menstruation. Hoped that this research can be used an intervention in reducing menstrual pain in adolescent girls who experience menstruation..
