Abstract

Wound healing is greatly influenced by the treatment process carried out during the intervention. The care process from assessment to documentation still has many deficiencies. The project's need to improve the quality of wound assessment and documentation practices assists in the determination of wound status, decision-making in treatment, and ongoing evaluation with digitally developed visualizations. This study was conducted as an evaluation of the application of the Photographic Wound Assessment Tool (PWAT) for wound assessment and to assist in improving professional wound care services that keep abreast of technological developments and increase the value of continuous documentation quality. Evaluation Research is carried out by implementing the PWAT application in the wound care process for 4 patients treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and internal medicine wards with different wounds which are evaluating programs and aiming to design, perfect, test the implementation of applications for measuring the success or usefulness of the application as expected. The application of PWAT application helps in the continuous evaluation and visualization of documentation in monitoring wound healing. Application development needs to be further evaluated and adjusted based on the type of wound and the use of appropriate standard operating procedures (SOP). The PWAT assessment instrument developed in the form of an application can assist the assessment process to document a more modern wound care process and add value to the quality of the documentation. The development of this application needs to be done further according to needs.
