Diabetes mellitus is a condition where blood glucose levels are higher than normal (normal range:
60–145 mg/dl) due to the body’s inability to produce or effectively use insulin. Diabetic foot exercise
is a physical activity performed by patients to improve blood circulation in the feet and prevent foot
injuries. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of diabetic foot exercise in reducing blood
glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Data collection methods included interviews
and observation sheets based on the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), using a case study
approach. The data were collected from February 21 to February 27, 2025, involving two research
subjects. The results showed that diabetic foot exercises effectively reduced blood glucose levels. In
subject I, glucose levels decreased from >250 mg/dl to 180 mg/dl, and in subject II from >250 mg/dl
to 130 mg/dl. Therefore, diabetic foot exercise can be used as a non-pharmacological therapy to
lower blood glucose levels and can be practiced independently by patients and their families.
