PENERAPAN KOMUNIKASI EFEKTIF ORANG TUA DALAM MENCEGAH PERILAKUMEROKOK PADA REMAJA

Abstract

Smoking is a habit that can provide pleasure for the smoker, but also has a negative effect on both the smoker himself and the surrounding environment. Effective communication aims to ensure that the mind between parents and children does not experience drastic gaps and children will gradually be more open and free to talk about the problems faced and this will affect the level of stress in adolescents. This study aims to determine the description of the effective application of parental communication to smoking behavior in adolescents. This type of research is descriptive with case studies and data collection techniques using interview and observation techniques. This research was conducted from April 9, 2019 until July 9, 2019, with the number of respondents 2 subjects. The results showed changes in children's attitudes in preventing smoking behavior in parents. The recommendations of the results of this study are the application of effective communication can be a reference for the prevention of smoking behavior in adolescents.
