Mental health is a condition of emotional, psychological, and social health. A person with good mental health can carry out productive activities. Meanwhile, a person with a mental disorder results in decreased quality of life. Mental disorders are manifestations of behavioral deviations due to emotional distortion so, irregularities are found in behavior. One of the disorders found in mental disorders is conducted with social isolation. Social isolation is an inner connected mental disorder that is ` an individual mechanism against something that threatens him/her by avoiding interaction with other people or his environment. A therapy that can improve social skills in socially isolated patients is social skills training therapy. Interventions in social skills training can be in the form of collaborating with other individuals, giving praise, and exchanging experiences with others. The objective of this paper was to describe the analysis of the implementation of social skills training in increasing social interaction in socially isolated patients based on empirical studies of the last ten years. This writing design used the PICO framework (population/problem, intervention, comparison, and outcome) so, four articles were obtained according to the research topic. The results of this literature review found that there was an increase in social interaction skills in social sociability patients. Thus, nurses were expected to be able to provide maximum social skill training therapy, so, patients with social isolation were also able to interact in a maximum way.
