Abstract
Hypertension is an increase in systolic blood pressure of more than 140 mmHg and diastolic of more than 90 mmHg on two measurements with an interval of five minutes in a state of sufficient rest, Hypertension is a dangerous disease because it will burden the heart's work so that it causes arteriosclerosis (hardening of the artery walls). Objective: Describe the Application of Natural Sound Music Therapy in Reducing Blood Pressure in Hypertension Patients at the Aroel Wound Care Clinic, Blang Bintang District, Aceh Besar Regency. Method: Using a Case Study Design. The subjects used were 2 patients suffering from hypertension. The application was carried out once a day for 7 consecutive days with a duration of 20-30 minutes with a moderate volume (400-600 Hertz). The results of blood pressure strengthening before the application of music therapy were 140/80mmhg for subject I and 150/90mmhg for subject II. The results of measurements after Alan's voice music therapy showed a decrease in blood pressure in subject I of 120/80mmhg and subject II of 130/90mmhg. The average decrease in systolic pressure in subject I was 2mmhg and subject II was 2mmhg. Conclusion: The application of natural sound music therapy can provide optimal results for reducing blood pressure in hypertensive patients if patients maintain a healthy lifestyle
